"At Givaudan we partner with the best and brightest minds in the industry, by teaming up with startups we can spark new, creative approaches, and create faster, more agile, innovation pathways.

We're excited to team up with FoodHack and the HackSummit to launch a global competition to put the spotlight on new technologies.
We look forward to supporting more startups on their scale up journey and to collaborating with them for a healthier, more sustainable future for all."

Head of Front End Innovation @ Givaudan
THE criteria

Selection can be broken down into 3 key questions:

1
How big and impactful could this idea be in its largest form?
2
Why is this the right team to bring this idea to its largest form?
3
What level of conviction do we have that this technology can scale?
The judges will be on the lookout for uniqueness of the solution, understanding of the market opportunity, scalability of the technology, potential of impact, team advantage and expertise, early traction and path to scale.

"We appreciate this validation by Givaudan as we start our ingredient commercialisation with an industrial demonstration plant. Givadan's work with startups in the past received many compliments and achievements. There is nothing better than working together to fast track the change towards a more resilient and zero waste food value chain."

Ricky Cassini

"We kicked off our last round at the HackSummit in Lausanne and started the fundraising process with our best foot forward as a pitch competition winner.
